Ear Tube Surgery

On February 6, our baby girl had surgery to put tubes in her ears. It was a long journey to get to this point, but we were finally able to have it done. She had 8 ear infections since she has been born. We had gone through every antibiotic known to cure ear infections, and nothing seemed to really keep them away. I think the longest we went without seeing the doctor was 4 weeks. We finally made the decision to do tubes, but the consulting doctor, held off. He wanted to try a regimen of taking medicine every night for 3 months and that would prevent her from having another infection. Two weeks into the medicine, we noticed it was making her sick. She wasn't our happy baby we once had. She was constantly irritable, grumpy, and it was hard to keep her happy and comfortable. So that is how we got to where we are now. She has been happier and we hope this will help. So here are a few pictures of her day.

She looks so sweet and small in that hospital bed. I hope the tubes solve the problem!
